The short version

Veenode Labs is where you do the practical work. We hold what we need to run your labs and report your scores, and nothing else. We do not sell your data, we run no advertising, and there is no third-party analytics or tracking on this site.

Cookies we use

Cookie	Why	How long
sessionid	Keeps you signed in as you move between pages.	Until you sign out.
csrftoken	Stops another site submitting forms as you. Security, not tracking.	One year.
django_language	Remembers the language you chose.	One year.

All three are strictly necessary, which is why the notice at the bottom of the page tells you about them rather than asking you to accept them. There is nothing here you could switch off and still have a working site.

How this fits with Veenode Learn

You sign in with your Veenode Learn account. Learn tells us your name, email, the tracks you are enrolled on and whether your enrolment is active, so we know which labs to open for you. When you finish a lab we send your score back to Learn. Your marks live there, in one place, and we never hold a second copy of them here.

What we hold

Your name, email and the tracks you are entitled to, mirrored from Veenode Learn each time you sign in.
Your lab attempts: the answers you gave, whether they were right, and your score.
Files you upload as evidence for a lab, stored where only you and the teaching team can reach them.

Your choices

Ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Because your account comes from Veenode Learn, the quickest route is to ask there and it applies to both.
